TRUMP’S GAZA CEASEFIRE PROPOSAL ACCEPTED – Israel has accepted a U.S. ceasefire proposal for the end of the war in Gaza.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said that Israel had accepted a U.S. ceasefire proposal for the war in Gaza.
Speaking at a press conference in Budapest, Saar said that Israel was ready to accept a deal ending the war that would include the release of hostages and Hamas laying down its arms. U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday, September 7th, suggested a Gaza deal could come soon, after earlier issuing what he called his “last warning” to the Palestinian militant group.
“The Israelis have accepted my Terms. It is time for Hamas to accept as well,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. “I have warned Hamas about the consequences of not accepting. This is my last warning, there will not be another one!”
The minister also said six people had been killed and “many, many” injured, including a pregnant woman, when two Palestinian gunmen opened fire at a bus stop on the outskirts of Jerusalem on Monday. The attack is one of the deadliest in the city in the past few years.
Palestinian militant group Hamas increased the disgust felt across the world by praising the two Palestinian “resistance fighters” who it said had carried out the attack, but, like all cowards, stopped short of claiming responsibility.
Islamic Jihad, yet another Palestinian terrorist militant group, also praised the shooting.
