ZELENSKIY ARRIVES IN GERMANY – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has expressed his support for Zelenskiy
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy arrived for talks with Friedrich Merz in Berlin today after the German chancellor made clear he intends to show his support for the Ukrainian leader a week before US-brokered Russia-Ukraine peace negotiations resume.
Announcing the visit, Merz said it would be different from a trip the Ukrainian president made to the White House last year.
Germany has become Ukraine’s largest supporter in its war with Russia. Washington still provides intelligence to Ukraine and reportedly allows other countries to buy U.S weapons on Kyiv’s behalf.
