Japanese stocks ended slightly lower on the last trading day of the year on Monday (December 30) as investors booked profits ahead of New Year holidays, although the Nikkei average held near three-decade highs in dollar terms. Turkey unveiled its first fully domestically produced car, saying it aimed to eventually produce up to 175,000 a year of the electric vehicle in a project expected to cost 22 billion lira ($3.7 billion) over 13 years. Shannon Lee’s Bruce Lee Enterprises alleges Real Kungfu has used the image in its logo without permission. Black Friday discounts and bad weather have been blamed for a decline in Boxing Day shoppers, with retail analysts reporting a fall in the number of people heading for the sales. Springboard, which analyses customer activity in stores, said footfall up until midday had seen the largest decline since 2010, dropping by 10.6%.
