CHESLEA FANS CELEBRATE 2-0 WIN OVER FLUMINENSE – Former Fluminense player Joao Pedro scored both of Chelsea’s goals
The Chelsea faithful were ecstatic after witnessing their side advance to the Club World Cup final with a 2-0 win over Fluminense at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Former Fluminense player Joao Pedro scored both of Chelsea’s goals in his first start for the Premier League club after signing from Brighton & Hove Albion for 60 million pounds just last week.
Chelsea fans were outnumbered in the 82,500-capacity stadium, but they made their voices heard as they made their way out of the venue in the scorching afternoon heat as they proudly showed their colors and waved blue flags.
Fluminense fans said they were disappointed to see their fairy tale run come to an end, but that they still had plenty to celebrate and vowed to return in four years.
Chelsea will face either Real Madrid or Paris St Germain, who meet in the second semi-final today, in Sunday’s final.
