COALITION OF THE WILLING ADDRESS ZELENSKIY-Zelenskiy urges EU members to keep defending the European way of life
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged allies today to sustain their support as he addressed a “Coalition of the Willing” video‑conference on the war’s fourth anniversary.
In Kyiv, Zelenskiy greeted European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President Antonio Costa and Finnish President Alexander Stubb before the conference.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz joined the conference virtually.
Divisions among European partners was visibly present, as Hungary “kept up its veto” which has hindered the EU states from agreeing on either a 90‑billion‑euro loan for Ukraine or a set of new sanctions against Russia.
In a televised address to the European Parliament to mark the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Zelenskiy urged members of the 27-nation EU to keep defending the European way of life.
