DELTA & UNITED HIT WITH LAWSUITS OVER ‘FAKE WINDOW SEATS’ – Passengers demand millions after paying premiums for wall views
Delta and United Airlines are being sued by passengers who say they were tricked into paying more for “window seats” — only to find no window at all.
The lawsuits, filed by legal firm Greenbaum Olbrantz, accuse both airlines of misleading advertising, claiming seats were marketed as windows even though they looked out onto a blank wall. The missing windows are due to aircraft design features like ducts and wiring, but passengers say they were never warned.
Attorneys are seeking millions of dollars in damages and refunds for more than a million travellers per airline, calling the practice “deceptive and unlawful.”
Other carriers, including American and Alaska Airlines, do flag so-called “windowless seats” when booking. Delta and United have not yet commented.
