FRANCE’S LE PEN CALLS FOR PARLIAMENT DISSOLUTION- In a bid to bring about a change of leadership.
France’s National Rally leaders Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella on Sunday reiterated their demand for the dissolution of the National Assembly in order to bring about a change of leadership.
As the new Prime Minister, Sebastien Lecornu, continues his consultations with a view to drafting a budget that will not be rejected by the deputies, RN leaders declared that change was needed.
The party leader Le Pen in her speech to over 7,000 supporters, during a meeting marking the reopening of the French parliament, stated that a return to the polls is needed, further adding that the only solution in the short term was to dissolve the National Assembly.
Le Pen’s number 2, party leader Jordan Bardella, highlighted the fatigue of the French after eight years of “Macronist” rule and denounced the negotiations initiated by the new occupant of Matignon, where the National Rally has not yet been received.
Bardella stated that it is either President Macron dissolves the National Assembly to organise new legislative elections or resign in the event of a repeated deadlock.
