KING MARKS BIRTHDAY IN WALES – King Charles meets stars and locals in Wales during 77th birthday visit
King Charles spent his 77th birthday in a wet and windy south Wales, visiting in Waled with Queen Camilla. He met local cultural figures including Gavin and Stacey star Ruth Jones, Love Island’s Liam Reardon, and TikToker Lewis Leigh.
At a reception, the King cut a castle-shaped birthday cake before greeting crowds braving Storm Claudia under umbrellas. Earlier, Buckingham Palace released a new photo of the King at Sandringham holding a shepherd’s crook.
To commemorate the occasion, the Royal Family released a new official portrait of the King.
In London, celebratory gun salutes were heard across the capital. In central London, The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery fired a 41-gun salute in Green Park as the clock struck noon, honouring the monarch.
