MARESCA PREPARES FOR BAYERN – Chelsea coach says team faces’ tough test’ in Germany
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca says Bayern Munich are among the favourites to win this season’s Champions League.
The Blues begin their campaign with a tough trip to Germany on Wednesday. Maresca described Bayern as one of “three or four” teams capable of going all the way.
He also downplayed concerns about striker Nicolas Jackson, who joined Bayern on loan for the season, admitting it gives the German side only a “small advantage.”
Jackson, who signed for Chelsea in 2023, scored 30 goals in 81 appearances and helped the club to both the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup titles.
