RAF F-35S DOWN DRONES OVER JORDAN – UK forces intercept threats in the region
The UK’s Ministry of Defence has released new footage showing British fighter jets shooting down aerial targets over Jordan.
The video captures RAF F-35B jets intercepting uncrewed aerial systems in Jordanian airspace, the first time an RAF F-35 has destroyed a target during active operations. The mission was supported by RAF Typhoon jets and a Voyager refuelling tanker.
The ministry says British forces have shot down multiple drones across the Middle East in the past 24 hours. A UK counter-drone team also intercepted additional drones in Iraqi airspace that were heading towards Coalition forces.
The footage also shows the jets taxiing, lining up on the runway and taking off ahead of Saturday’s operations, as British forces remain engaged in defensive missions across the region.
