RUSSIA LAUNCHES LARGEST MISSILE STRIKE – Kyiv Targeted in deadliest attack yet, Casualties Reported
Russia has carried out its largest missile strike on Ukraine since the conflict began, hitting a government building in Kyiv.
The attack killed at least four people, including a three-month-old baby, and caused extensive damage. Ukrainian officials condemned the strike as a blatant escalation of hostilities.
Emergency services are searching the rubble and treating injured civilians. International leaders have called for restraint and renewed diplomatic talks.
Analysts warn the attack could further destabilise the region and increase tensions with Western allies. Kyiv continues to brace for possible additional strikes in the coming days.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urged Kyiv’s allies to quickly boost supplies of air-defence weapons to Ukraine.
In his nightly address following a Russian air strike on an eastern Ukrainian village that killed 24 people, he said that Moscow interpreted a lack of stronger international sanctions as permission to continue its war.
