STARMER MEETS CANADA PM IN DOWNING STREET- Starmer highlights the work of both nations in both NATO and Coalition of the Willing
Prime Minister Keir Starmer today received Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney at Downing Street. Carney is reportedly in London for talks with Starmer.
Starmer welcomed Carney, congratulating the Canadian leader on his birthday and lauded Canada’s support for Ukraine as “invaluable.”
Prime minister Keir Starmer highlighted their work through the Coalition of the Willing and NATO, describing the two nations as “old friends” with “strong history and values”.
According to a Downing Street spokeswoman, the two leaders discussed on Sunday (March 16) the impact of the Strait of Hormuz’s continued closure on international shipping and agreed to continue talks on the Middle East conflict at their meeting on Monday.
