STARMER REVIEWS NEW INFO ON REEVE’S CASE – PM says he still has full confidence in Chancellor as new evidence emerges
Prime Minister Keir Starmer is reviewing new information about Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ home rental case after emails involving her husband came to light.
Downing Street says the evidence has been passed to the Prime Minister and his ethics adviser, but declined to provide further comment.
Starmer insists he has full confidence in Reeves and confirmed the Budget will proceed on November 26, with her still set to deliver it.
Reeves has apologised for not securing a rental licence for her south London home, calling it an “inadvertent mistake.”
However, Conservative MPs continue to call for a formal investigation, arguing that her position may now be at risk.
