U.S. HEALTH SECRETARY KENNEDY URGES NATIONS TO QUIT THE WHO- Kennedy says nations don’t have to suffer the limits of a moribund WHO.
U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in a statement urged the health ministers of the nations of the world to take the U.S withdrawal from WHO as a wake-up call.
Mr Kennedy also extended an open invitation to health ministers around the world into a new era of cooperation, further adding that no nation needed to suffer the limits of a moribund WHO
In his comments to the WHO, Kennedy called it “mired in bureaucratic bloat, entrenched paradigms, conflicts of interest and international power politics.”
Mr Kennedy also advocated for the creation of new institutions and the revisitation of existing institutions that are lean, efficient, transparent and accountable.
