Thousands of radiographers in England are to strike on Tuesday amid a row with the government over pay, recruitment and retention. Members of the Society of Radiographers (SoR) have voted to reject the 5% pay award offered by ministers and called for talks to reopen after other public sector workers, including junior doctors, were offered more. Residents of a Cornish harbour town have raised £1m to save their beloved community hospital three years after it was closed by the NHS, raising fears it would be turned into holiday flats. In the City, shares in Ocado have jumped by over 11% to their highest level since January, after it reached a deal with Norwegian robotics firm AutoStore over patent litigation claims.
