DECHAMBEAU WINS LIV GOLF SINGAPORE – Lee’s 2nd place finish marks the best result ever achieved by a wildcard entry
Bryson DeChambeau claimed victory at the LIV Golf tournament in Singapore after edging past Canada’s Richard T. Lee in a dramatic play-off at Sentosa Golf Club. The American secured his fourth title on the breakaway circuit, recovering from an early mistake on the first extra hole, after both players finished tied at 14-under-par.
Lee had surged into contention late in the final round, producing birdies on four of his last six holes to set the clubhouse target. His charge forced DeChambeau into play-off but he was unable to maintain his momentum.
Lee’s second-place finish marks the best result ever achieved by a wildcard entry at a LIV event.
England’s Lee Westwood, 52, finished third on 12 under.
In the team competition, 4Aces GC registered a commanding five-stroke victory over Ripper GC. Bogey-free rounds from Anthony Kim and Thomas Pieters were pivotal as the team secured back-to-back wins for the first time since the tour’s inaugural season in 2022.
