ISRAEL SAYS HAMAS BREACHED GAZA CEASEFIRE – Israeli spokesperson said Hamas attacked IDF and is withholding the release of slain hostages

An Israeli spokesperson in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said Hamas breached the Gaza ceasefire agreement by attacking Israeli forces in the territory and withholding the release of slain hostages.

During a briefing with foreign journalists, Spokeswoman Shosh Bedrosian said that Israel ‘Will not only continue to uphold the ceasefire agreement, but we will enforce it.’

She added that Hamas’ claim that it can not locate the bodies of the remaining 16 hostages held in Gaza is unacceptable and part of the Islamist militant group’s ‘propaganda’.

Under the U.S.-mediated agreement to end the war in Gaza, Hamas released 20 living hostages and was to release 48 slain hostages, but as of today has only handed over 13 bodies, of which one of them was not of a hostage.

In exchange for the hostages, Israel released nearly 2,000 convicted Palestinian prisoners and detainees.

Bedrosian also said that Netanyahu met with U.S envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner today to discuss developments and updates in the region, and will meet Vice President JD Vance when he visits Israel.
