TRUMP VOWS TO DEFEND PRAYER IN SCHOOLS – He attacks Biden as ‘mean’ at religious gathering
Donald Trump said that the new guidance protecting the right of students to pray in public schools would soon be issued, though he did not provide specifics.
Trump made the comments at an event on religious liberty at the Museum of the Bible in Washington.
The U.S. president also used the occasion to attack his predecessor, Democratic President Joe Biden, whom Trump called “mean” for prosecuting his supporters who participated in the January 06, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.
Trump also again suggested he was preparing to deploy federal law enforcement and U.S. troops to Chicago, saying he was “waiting for a call”. Illinois’s governor and the mayor of Chicago have said that do not want Trump to deploy troops the way he has in Washington and Los Angeles.
