AUSTRALIA WELCOMES US-IRAN PEACE DEAL – Albanese says peace deal is in the interest of the entire world

Australia welcomes the U.S.-Iran deal toward ending hostilities but warns that it will take many months for things to “return to normal”, the Prime Minister said on Monday.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said the peace deal was “in the interest of the entire world.”

U.S. and Iranian officials said on Sunday they have agreed on a peace framework for a deal to end their war, halt the U.S. blockade of Iran and reopen the Strait of Hormuz, possibly leading to lower energy prices once oil shipments resume through the critical waterway.

The pact will be officially signed on Friday in Switzerland, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif wrote.
