CHRISTIAN WOMAN CLEARED OVER SILENT PRAYER – “I am still being investigated”, says Vaughan-Spruce

A Christian woman twice cleared over silent prayer near an abortion clinic says she feels “harassed” by police after learning she is under investigation again.

West Midlands Police confirmed a live probe into Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, a pro-life campaigner active outside clinics for 20 years.

Her supporters at ADF UK said she was unaware of the investigation until a harassment complaint she filed was rejected on that basis.

Vaughan-Spruce has twice been arrested for allegedly breaching a Birmingham abortion clinic “buffer zone” by praying silently.

Both times, charges were dropped, and she later won £13,000 compensation for wrongful arrest.

She said it was “unbelievable” that she is still being investigated for “the same prayers” after being “fully vindicated.”

“Silent prayer cannot possibly be a crime – everyone has the right to freedom of thought,” she added.
