GLOBAL ECONOMY HELD HOSTAGE BY THE STRAIT -Says UK FM Yvette Cooper
Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper made claims that the global economy was being “held hostage” by the Strait of Hormuz.
Speaking at the Global Partnerships Conference in London, Cooper claimed that the world was “sleepwalking” into a food security crisis with no statistics to back the allegations.
The two-day summit, which will be jointly hosted by the UK and South Africa, aims to bring together governments, investors and global organisations to discuss approaches to international development and crisis response, according to event organisers.
