MUSK LOSES OPENAI LAWSUIT – U.S. jury rejects claims against artificial intelligence company
A U.S. jury has ruled against Elon Musk in his lawsuit against OpenAI, finding the artificial intelligence company not liable over claims it had abandoned its original mission to benefit humanity.
The unanimous verdict was delivered on Monday in a federal court in Oakland, California, where jurors concluded that Musk had filed the case too late.
The jury deliberated for less than two hours before reaching its decision.
Musk had argued that OpenAI had strayed from its founding principles as the company expanded commercially and deepened partnerships within the technology industry.
