RUSSIA THREAT TO BRITISH FACTORIES – Moscow would not “100 per cent exclude” the possibility of “semi-military action”
Russia has threatened British factories supplying Ukraine after the UK agreed to share classified information to help Kyiv produce its own Storm Shadow missiles.
Andrei Fedorov, an adviser to Vladimir Putin, said Moscow could not rule out “semi-military” action against factories producing drones and missile components for Ukraine.
Speaking to the BBC, Fedorov suggested such facilities could be targeted by cyber-attacks or other actions carried out by “unknown sources”.
His comments came after the Kremlin accused Prime Minister Andy Burnham of “adding fuel to the fire” by sharing the missile technology with Ukraine.
Burnham hit back, asking: “Who started the fire? That’s the question, isn’t it?”
The Prime Minister made the comments during his first visit to Kyiv, where Britain announced it would allow Ukraine access to classified technology needed to produce the British-French long-range missiles.
Western intelligence sources have also warned of a new wave of alleged Russian covert attacks targeting European defence factories.
