TRUMP CONSIDERS U.S. MILITARY ACTION IN THE ISRAEL-IRAN CONFLICT – US president issues guidance to military, but no final decision made

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he is actively considering potential military intervention in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, though he declined to provide specific details.

He reiterated his full support for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and described the coming days as “critical” to determining the path forward.

According to reports, President Trump has approved a contingency plan for military strikes against Iran but has opted to delay its execution in hopes that Tehran will abandon its nuclear ambitions.

He firmly ruled out the possibility of a ceasefire, instead calling for what he described as a “total and complete victory,” ensuring Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons.

Despite escalating tensions, the President maintained that diplomatic engagement remains on the table and claimed Iranian officials had expressed interest in sending a delegation to the White House.

A sixth round of indirect nuclear negotiations, previously scheduled for June 15, was cancelled following Israeli airstrikes that prompted retaliatory missile attacks from Iran.

In response to the deteriorating security landscape, the United States is deploying a third aircraft carrier to the eastern Mediterranean and has stationed strategic bombers at military bases in Spain.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian responded by stating that his government will not resume diplomatic talks while Israeli airstrikes continue.
