600 ARTIFACTS STOLEN IN BRISTOL – Police hunt four suspects after 600+ high-value Bristol museum items stolen from storage

More than 600 high-value artifacts have been stolen from a storage building in Bristol, where items from the city’s museum collection were being kept.

Police say four men allegedly broke in during the early hours of September 25, targeting artifacts linked to Bristol Museum’s British Empire and Commonwealth collection. The burglary hadn’t been disclosed until now.

Investigators have released CCTV images and are appealing for help identifying the suspects seen walking nearby.

Detectives say the loss is significant, with many items holding major cultural importance for the city.

The theft comes weeks after a robbery at Paris’s Louvre Museum, raising fresh questions about security at major cultural institutions.
