LABOUR SET TO LOSE CONTROL IN WALES – Plaid Cymru poised to take Senedd as Reform surge hits England
Labour is on course to lose control in Wales, according to a new poll suggesting a significant political shift ahead of upcoming elections. The survey indicates that Plaid Cymru could emerge as the largest party in the Senedd, capitalising on declining support for Labour after years of dominance.
Analysts say voter frustration over public services and economic pressures is driving the change, with many seeking alternatives to the status quo.
The findings also point to broader challenges for Sir Keir Starmer, as Reform UK gains traction across parts of England, threatening Labour’s wider electoral strategy.
The potential losses raise questions about Labour’s ability to maintain its traditional strongholds while expanding support nationally. With momentum appearing to shift, the results could signal a more fragmented and competitive political landscape across the UK.
The latest polls release a few minutes ago, showed The SNP is set for a majority in Scotland, putting the Union in peril.
John Swinney’s party was forecast to win 67 seats in the Scottish Parliament, which would give the First Minister a mandate to negotiate with Westminster on a second independence referendum.
