FORMER US PRESIDENT BIDEN DIAGNOSED WITH PROSTATE CANCER- Biden’s office says the family is reviewing treatment options with doctors

Former U.S. President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer that has reportedly metastasised to the bone, as stated by his office in a statement on Sunday

Biden, 82, was reportedly diagnosed on Friday after having experienced urinary symptoms, with he and his family reviewing treatment options with doctors, according to the statement.

Biden, whose presidency ended in January 2025, abandoned his bid for reelection in July last year, weeks after a halting performance during a debate against U.S President Donald Trump prompted panic among his fellow Democrats.

Biden’s physical health and mental acuity drew intense media scrutiny even before the debate.

Former Vice President Kamala Harris, who took over as the party’s nominee, also lost in November to President Trump.

Biden’s office has also said the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management.
