GIROUD AND LLORIS RELISH CHANCE TO MAKE THE CLUB WORLD CUP – Los Angeles FC faces Club America in a Club World Cup qualifier on Saturday

Los Angeles FC takes on Club America this Saturday at BMO Stadium in a crucial playoff for a spot in the FIFA Club World Cup.

LAFC striker Olivier Giroud says the team is fully focused on qualifying and will give everything on the pitch.

The playoff was set after Mexico’s Club Leon was disqualified for breaching FIFA’s ownership rules. Their appeal was rejected by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

LAFC keeper Hugo Lloris echoed the urgency, calling it a must-win match.

The winner will enter Group D alongside Chelsea, Flamengo, and Esperance de Tunis in the 32-team tournament kicking off June 14.
