NATO ALLIES MOVE TO REOPEN OIL ROUTE  – 22 nations coordinate to secure Strait of Hormuz

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte says a coalition of 22 countries is working to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most critical oil shipping routes.

The group includes NATO members, allies such as Japan and South Korea, and partners in the Gulf region.

Rutte said the aim is to ensure the safe passage of vessels through the waterway, which carries a significant share of global energy supplies.

The move comes amid escalating tensions with Iran, after U.S. President Donald Trump warned Tehran to reopen the route or face further military action.

Markets reacted to the standoff, with oil prices fluctuating amid growing concerns about potential disruptions to global supply.
