TENSIONS BETWEEN POLICE AND PROTESTERS SIMMER IN LOS ANGELES – National Guard form human barricade to contain the protests
Riot police were deployed across Los Angeles on Monday, as protests over President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown entered a fourth consecutive day.
Trump activated the National Guard on Saturday to contain the increasingly violent protests against the ongoing immigration raids targeting illegal migrants in Southern California. The police on Monday dispersed demonstrators who gathered in downtown Los Angeles.
National Guard forces had formed a human barricade to keep people out of the building.
The Los Angeles police are also employing tactics to contain the protests and maintain order.
