TRUMP ENDORSES ORBAN FOR REELECTION IN HUNGARY –  Trump praises him as a strong and powerful leader

President Donald Trump endorsed Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for reelection in a post on his Truth Social platform, praising him as a “strong and powerful leader” ahead of Hungary’s April 12 vote.

Trump said Orban had delivered “phenomenal results” and highlighted his policies on immigration, the economy and law and order.

Trump, who also backed Orban in Hungary’s 2022 election, urged voters to support him again, writing: “Hungary: GET OUT AND VOTE FOR VIKTOR ORBAN.”

Orban, a longtime ally of Trump, has positioned himself as a nationalist leader within Europe, and the two have maintained close political ties in recent years.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance will visit Hungary in early April. The trip follows U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s trip to Budapest in February to publicly back Orban, who is grappling with a weak economy, an energy price shock and a rival seen as a viable alternative.
