U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday (July 8) that he plans to impose tariffs on imported semiconductors and pharmaceuticals, stating that the rate for medicines could reach 200%, but that he would give drugmakers approximately one year to “get their act together.”
Trump told reporters, speaking at a meeting of his Cabinet at the White House.
