VANCE AND RUBIO CALL FOR REVIVING U.S. INDUSTRIAL CAPACITY – At American Compass Gala
U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued strong calls to rebuild America’s industrial base during remarks at the American Compass Fifth Anniversary Gala in Washington, D.C.
Speaking at the National Building Museum, Rubio warned that decades of declining industrial capacity have weakened both the U.S. economy and its global standing. He argued that national interest must once again take priority in trade and foreign policy decisions.
“Our number one foreign policy priority needs to be the United States,” Rubio said.
Vice President Vance emphasised the link between manufacturing, innovation, and national prosperity, saying America can’t afford to separate “the making of things from the innovating of things.”
He also described the loss of skilled trades as a national emergency.
Vance called for urgent action to restore critical capabilities in the American workforce.
