ZELENSKY HAILS MINERALS DEAL WITH THE U.S AS EQUAL AND FAIR- Zelensky says the Reconstruction Fund will invest in Ukraine and generate returns
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy hailed a minerals deal with the United States as a truly equal and fair agreement, and the first result of his Vatican meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the funeral of Pope Francis.
Zelenskiy said the minerals deal opens the way for the modernisation of industries in Ukraine. Zelensky called the deal an equitable agreement, adding that it creates opportunities for substantial investment in Ukraine, as well as significant modernisation of Ukraine’s industries and its legal practices. The agreement does not recognise any debt and a fund is being set up. .
Zelensky confirmed communication with U.S President Donald Trump with regards to concluding the agreement and stated that the agreement was the first tangible outcome of the Vatican meeting.
