INDIA BEAT ENGLAND BY SIX RUNS – India win all-time Test despite Woakes heroics

India pulled off a stunning six-run victory over England at The Oval, levelling the Test series 2–2 in one of the most dramatic finishes in recent cricket history.

England began the final day needing just 35 runs with five wickets in hand to chase down a record target of 374—but under intense pressure, they crumbled, losing four wickets for just 28 runs.

Jamie Smith, Jamie Overton, Josh Tongue and Gus Atkinson all fell quickly as India’s pace attack turned the game on its head.

With 17 runs still needed, an injured Chris Woakes—who dislocated his shoulder earlier in the match—prepared to bat with his arm in a sling, but never got the chance.

Mohammed Siraj bowled Atkinson to seal the win in just 57 minutes and spark jubilant celebrations for India.
